Welcome to Term 2, we hope you have had a great break over the holidays. It was exciting to see so many smiling, enthusiastic faces back in class today.
We had Grace and Zack lead our syndicate assembly, we wrote some thoughtful poems in our home classes for poetry, as well as beginning to attack multiplication and division during maths. It's good to be back!
Yet again we have wet break times - not ideal! If you have any old games you would like to share with us please send these along.
Our Monday afternoons this term are going to be taken up by visiting the library before taking part of either Kapa Haka or short Science experiments. We are looking forward to this.
There are some markings up around the court area for our prospective build - please check these out, exciting times are ahead!
Arthur told me in the holidays that our resident swallows have returned! AJ and Harvey planted a tree to help the world.
We talked this morning about being grateful and having each other's back. Here's to an amazing term together.

Last tech challenge for Term 1
What an incredible last day of the term! We decided to celebrate by fitting in one last technology challenge.
The challenge today was to design a contraption that could pick up a tennis ball and drop it into a bucket. Our incredible engineers shone again!!

Myth Movies
This week we have been creating short movies from a selection of our myths. Eleven myths were selected, students then had to use IMovie and narrate a simple movie. Lots of teamwork was needed and the results are shown below. Enjoy!

Raincoats and Gumboots
Please bring your raincoats and gumboots tomorrow so that we can play in the rain!!!
Sorry!
This morning we watched a particularly inspiring video. Please check it out.
Perhaps you may be inspired to plant a tree or look at Stand For Trees.
Arthur has inspired us to be part of Kiwi Conservation Club, he has encouraged us to join him.
We can make a difference for ourselves and future generations.
