Static Electricity
This afternoon we learnt about and experimented with static electricity. We talked about the transfer of atoms between objects, we talked about lightning storms and the possible beginning of life over 400years ago!

Morning Rain
This morning we read a poem entitled Morning Rain.
What Ms Saxon was especially proud that the norm in our class is to use powerful language and imagery. We rock!!
Freddie
Forlorn clouds release dawn's droplets
Gazing into the misty sky
The aroma of damp grass overwhelms me.
The sun silently breaks through clouds
Opening our world to another realm
Liberty spread across the land.

Sitara
As dawn awakens
A misty rain falls
I hear it among the treetop leaves
A forlorn cloud above.
Raindrops fall
A scent of musk opens
As the sun appears
And lingers on.

Franziska
As a slow voice comes from outside
Awakening the wet animals
As slowly damp dust surrounds them
And tiny drops of God's tears develop.
Crystals shaped as tears
Petting the growing trees
Falling to the ground
Forming a puddle on the deep ground.

Nikita
As dawn approaches and the choir begins
The feel of happiness lingers.
As the abyss of clouds bathe in misty light
And the water drops onto the awakening ground.

Connor
A dawn awakens
Rabbits hide as frost engulfs them
The soft wind pushing you into your dream.
The raindrops fall from forlorn clouds
Seeping into the damp ground
As dawn hides.

Vasilisa
As forlorn cloud cross the sky
Tears fall from their eyes
Creating pools of water
On the damp soil.
Ghost - like fingers reach out,
Grabbing the clouds and pulling them
Across the sky.
As birds start to sing the dawn chorus
An aroma of flowers spreads across the land,
Liberty trailing behind.

3D shapes
Today Mrs Scott taught us how to make 3D shapes using play dough and popsicle sticks. We had lots of fun creating a range of shapes.
History- Egyptian Mummies
