As whispers of howling leaves pass secrets to others,
Jubilation fills the air.
Roaring waters overlap each wave that splashes onto rocks
Calming me from anger.
Birds chirp accompanying the sound of silence
As quiet suddenly overwhelms the loudness
Now silence can be heard.

I hear mouldy leaves rustling down from the trees above
Cicadas playing Chinese whispers
Rustling of the ferrets in the bushes
Beavers building a dam of sticks
Then I take crunchy footsteps along the path
Then I hear the sound of silence.

Wind rushing past hastily
Whispering secrets of where it's travelled
Crashing thunder throwing lightning like earth facing spears.
Accompanied by the splashing rain into the resilient roof.
But, by dawn the storm has passed
And as the sun creeps up
There is silence.
Isla
I am grasped by the talons
Of the birds' mighty calls,
As they place me in a nest
Woven from music.
I tumble out into a stream
And now it is a part of me I cannot live without,
The beauty of the endless blue
Whispers secrets to my soul.
Leaves fall
It is their destiny
And they cannot fight it
As their strength is stolen.
The noise has given one last breath
Now follows the sound of silence.

The wind whispering secrets of the world
Birds sing with liberty emerging from the tree tops.
The waterfall hammers the river below
Making it drown out all the others sounds.
Then I hear the peaceful sound of silence.
I say goodbye to nature's melody.
